An extremely versatile device for measuring sound intensity, this Radio Shack meter provides a large analogue meter movement for easier viewing, 7 sound level metering ranges covering the 50-126dB SPL range, selectable A and C weighting to account for hearing response at different levels, and an output socket for connection to other equipment eg. home theatre or test equipment. It uses an omnidirectional electret condenser microphone for sound collection and the analogue meter reads with slow or fast response times for checking peak and average levels. This unit is Tripod mountable (tripod not included), and includes a convenient carry case.
